Consulenza fornita a un collega su un caso di leucoma corneale
Good evening! I will send some pictures of the current appearance of the patient [...]. Today she shows dezepithelization all over the graft and at 9 o'clock shows a vascular invasion of endothelium. The central area is thinned in an oval shape about 3/1 mm (Dellen). I'll try to keep eye bandaged for a few days and I'll keep the treatment with [...] and Corneregel. I try to not put dexamethasone in order to not disturb the epithelisation and I think that is a lagophthalmic keratitis. In the central part cornea tend to have a hazy aspect. I look forward for your answer.

Good morning, I can see from the pictures a good situation of suture, the problem is the lagophthalmic keratitis like before the corneal transplant with dezepithelization corneal ulcer leucoma and neovascularization. The most important thing is a complete epithelization, if it's not possible with bandage or contact lens + topic therapy you must do tarsorraphie (close the eyelid with suture) for some months. The neovascularization is linked to the ulcer so don't worry now. I think in the future I'll must change the cornea to achive a good sight, this is not a problem because is a lamellar transplant but now is important a good epithelization and aftel we evaluate the corneal leucoma.

Good evening! We will send you more pictures with the evolution of keratitis and we try for the moment to make local treatment and bandage in order to obtain the reepithelization. Best regards.
